Grand Forks Softball Team Name Spitfires

GRAND FORKS, ND—The Grand Forks Northwoods League Softball team has announced its nickname.  The team will be known as the Spitfires. Spitfires General Manager Roberto Lemus says “The ‘Spitfires’ name captures the strength, energy, and forward momentum we’ll bring to the field, and it also reflects the spirit of the people here in Grand Forks.”  The Northwoods Softball League is a summer competition for college players.  The Spitfires first game will be in June 2026.
