Halstad City Council Meeting
HALSTAD, MN—Halstad Mayor Darin Johnson said last Monday’s City Council meeting was rather quiet, as they often are in the summer. He says the biggest item was about the installation of solar panels.
Johnson says the solar panels should be installed in mid-July.
In other business, the Halstad City Council approved a new lease for a tenant at the Landmark Center.
And speaking of the Landmark Center, Johnson says the roof will be getting much needed repairs.
Johnson also says the City is giving up on having flower boxes along Highway 75. The boxes were installed in 2019 when Highway 75 was renovated. But the upkeep has been difficult, with sand and salt being blown into the boxes. He says the perennials inside the flower boxes haven’t been doing well. So the flower boxes will be filled in with concrete.
