Halstad City Council Meets

HALSTAD, MN—The Halstad City Council had two main topics at Monday night’s Council meeting.  Halstad Mayor Darin Johnson talks about the biggest issue.

Johnson says progress is being made on making the Landmark Center safe for people to use as a storm shelter.

Johnson says the City will try to raise more than its required share of the money to use on other potential projects.  In other business Monday, Halstad’s audit came back clean.  And the Halstad Fire Department will be buying new coolers for the American Legion to serve beverages during events. Johnson says the present coolers were bought used many years ago and are outdated.
