Halstad City Council Meets
HALSTAD, MN—Finding a parking space can be tough. Especially if you’re a medical helicopter trying to land in a small rural town. Halstad Mayor Darin Johnson says the City Council wants to be ready for a future emergency, so the idea of a permanent landing spot was discussed at Monday’s City Council meeting.
Also at Monday’s Halstad City Council meeting, there were talks about starting work to convert the Landmark Center gym into a FEMA shelter.
Johnson says the grant for work on the Landmark Center runs through 2028..and that construction should begin in 2027.
