Halstad Lions Present Snowfest this Saturday
Halstad, MN — Winter doesn’t want to seem to go away, so as they say “If you can’t beat ‘em, join ‘em!” That’s the premise behind the Halstad Lions Club’s Snowfest scheduled for this Saturday, March 18th. Snowfest includes a good mix of indoor and outdoor fun aimed at chasing away the extended winter blues.
Begin the day by heading north to support the Shelly Fire & Rescue and their Pancake Breakfast at the Shelly Senior Center from 7:30am until 10am, but hurry back to Creamery Hill for a sledding contest and winter fun at 10am, according to Halstad Lions President Greg Holte.
A volleyball tournament will also get underway on Saturday morning at 9am at the Landmark hosted by the Halstad Business League, and the Zone 75 will have a “Snow Bag” tourney starting at 1pm.
Holte adds that this winter has overstayed its welcome, but he hopes families will take this opportunity to get out and enjoy it a little.
The Halstad Lions Club is all about serving, according to Holte. Whether through fundraising or volunteering, this weekend’s Snowfest is another prime example of how they can meet the needs of the community.
