Halstad Mural To Be Dedicated Saturday
HALSTAD, MN—Halstad is gearing up for the annual Sugar Fest coming up on Saturday. Bjorne Solberg, the lead organizer for Sugar Fest, says one Sugar Fest event is the dedication of a mural in the city.
The mural is at the intersection of Highways 200 and 75, just south of Valley General Store. It was painted by artist Beau Bakken of Hallock.
The theme of this year’s Halstad Sugar Fest is “Too Sweet to Beet.” Activities on Saturday include a smoked turkey dinner, a car show, Sugar Fest parade, a bean bag tournament, dance and drive-in movie.
