Harrison Weber talks US Sugar 301 Complaint
Earlier this year, the United States Trade Representative, launched Section 301 investigation in response to allegations that United States trade partners are taking advantage of unfair trade practices, leading to issues in the United States domestic sugar market. Harrison Weber of the Red River Valley Sugarbeet Growers association explains.
Weber explains why it’s important for trade partners to be practicing fair trade, and not flooding the markets with excess sugar.
Weber says there are also ethical aspects that people need to be aware of when it comes to foreign produced sugar.
