Hawley City Council moving forward with Chief of Police Search 

The Hawley City Council took their next step in the search for a new police chief, after Joe Backlund announced his retirement earlier this month. Hawley City Administrator Lonnie Neuner says the council decided to open it up for internal applicants first. 

Neuner says the rest of Monday’s council meeting was quiet as they had some minor things like a request to shut down a street for Halloween, and an ordinance amendment. 

The HawleyCity Council will meet next on Monday, November 18.
