Hawley School District gearing up for opening of new Middle School 

We’re in the final 3rd of the 2025/2026 school year, and the Hawley School District is shifting their focus to the opening of their new middle school, which will welcome their first classes next school year. Hawley Elementary Principal Chris Ellingson talks more about the behind the scenes work being done, so the opening goes as smoothly as possible. 

Ellingson says the retirement of longtime Superintendent Phil Jensen, and the opening of this new middle school has caused him to reflect on the growth the Hawley School District has gone through over the last 20-30 years.
