Hawley Woman Dies In Two Vehicle Accident

HAWLEY, MN—A woman from Hawley has died after a two vehicle crash Friday morning in Hawley. The Minnesota State Patrol says at 6:45 a.m. Friday, the Hawley Police Department responded to a two-vehicle crash on Highway 10 and Michael Street. Police say the crash involved a commercial vehicle and a passenger vehicle.  The crash report says 74-year-old Elizabeth Carol Ahles of Hawley failed to yield for oncoming traffic and was hit by a semi. The Minnesota State Patrol says Ahles was not wearing a seatbelt and was flown to Sanford in Fargo where she later died.  The State Patrol says the semi driver, 54-year-old Dallas Slevin of Frazee, was not hurt.
