Hillsboro/Central Valley Seeks Reclassification for Girls Basketball

The Hillsboro Public School Board met in regular session Thursday morning.

Athletic Director, Dave Nelson, updated the board on a petition to reclassify the Hillsboro/Central Valley Girls Basketball team from Class A to Class B. Nelson mentioned that the North Dakota High School Activities Association will make a decision on that petition during their meeting on Tuesday.

Superintendent, Paula Suda, also updated the board on the status of the search for the district’s next superintendent. At the time of the meeting, one application has been submitted and one other individual is interested. Interviews are tentatively scheduled for the week of February 5th-9th. The district is hoping to extend the offer to their top choice by February 16th with a current start date of July 1st.

Other action items approved included: a Return to Learning Plan, the district’s Pledge of Assets, and the resignation of a part-time custodian.
