Hillsboro City Commission Tackles Camper Ordinance
During Monday’s regular meeting, among the many agenda items, the Hillsboro City Commission discussed an ordinance for recreational vehicles. Auditor, Casey Eggermont, shares the specifics.
The commission passed a first reading of that ordinance with a second reading scheduled for their next meeting. The Commission also revisited concerns from residents on dogs. Eggermont says residents will have an additional opportunity to voice their opinions.
Other discussion topics included: the armory rental agreement, updates to the employee handbook, and employee salary and benefit changes. No additional formal action was taken on those items. The commission did approve the first reading of a tax incentive plan for Mak Construction’s housing project in the Riverwalk Addition.
The next meeting is set for Monday, November 4th at 6:30pm at the Main Street Community Center.
