Hillsboro Fire and Rescue annual fireworks show set for July 2nd

The longtime tradition of fireworks in Hillsboro courtesy of Hillsboro Fire and Rescue will continue on Thursday, July 2nd. Jake Rust at the fire department shares the reason behind switching from July 3rd to 2nd this year.

Traill County had a burn ban in the spring to early summer because of the extremely dry conditions. Rust shares about how to stay safe during the fireworks season.

Rust says the new fire department building project is still on schedule for the September-October range and are putting together the early plans for a community open house when they’re settled in.
