Hillsboro Fire Department Shares fire safety reminders 

It’s National Fire Prevention week this week, and area fire departments are reminding their residents about the importance of taking fire prevention steps, so that you don’t become a victim of a fire that could’ve been avoidable. Hillsboro Assistant Fire Chief Jake Rust reminds homeowners and renters to check their fire alarms regularly. 

Fires aren’t the only types of calls local fire departments have to answer as they are also called to deal with carbon monoxide calls, and Secretary Treasurer Steve Haffley reminds residents to check their Carbon Monoxide alarms regularly as well.
