Hillsboro’s Dave Thomas goes on Veterans Honor Flight

The Honor Flight of ND/MN had their most recent honor flight last month, and one of the many area veterans who had the opportunity to attend was Hillsboro’s Dave Thomas. R&J News had the opportunity to catch up with Thomas, who says the experience was amazing and worth the two year wait.

Destinations apart the Honor Flight included stops at the Vietnam Memorial, WW2 Memorial, and Arlington Cemetery, but Thomas says the stop that really stuck with him was the Changing of the Guard.

Thomas says Arlington National Cemetery was another stop that really stood out to him.

Thomas says that any veteran who has the chance to go on the Honor Flight should apply before it’s too late.
