Hoeven talks farm bill extension and improvements
North Dakota Senator John Hoeven was in attendance at the Annual North Dakota Farmers Union meeting on Saturday to talk about the extension of the farm bill. Hoeven was for the extension of the bill for a number of reasons and explained why.
Hoeven also highlighted some improvements that he’s working on adding to the farm bill including a big emphasis on improving insurance.
Many agricultural entities are pushing for a new farm bill to be passed in early 2024 but a full and busy congressional calendar could cause delays. The resolution for agriculture appropriations expires at midnight on January 19.
