Holiday Train is coming to Town
The Canadian Pacific Holiday Train is coming to town again! Mark your calendars for this exciting annual event happening on Thursday December 14th. Marketing advisor Terry Cunha with the Canadian Pacific Holiday Train was in studio to share a little bit about the Holiday Train and what this incredible fundraiser means to local communities:
In celebration of the 25th Anniversary, the Holiday Train will be visiting many different States including Minnesota, Louisiana, Texas and Mississippi. This festive six-car train will continue its charitable tradition with The Salvation Army this year, and has raised over $22 million dollars and given 5 million pounds of food to local food shelves.
The Holiday Train will be in our listening area with stops in Mahnomen at 4:20, Plummer at 6:00, and Thief River Falls at 7:30. Times are approximate and guests are encouraged to bring canned food items to contribute to the Holiday Food Drive. Live music is a large part of the Holiday Train experience. This year’s performers will include Alan Doyle, Tenille Townes, Mackenzie Porter and Lindsay Ell, to name a few. Details about this year’s artists and which performers will play which shows are available at cpr.ca/holidaytrain
