Hunter Safety Reminders
The Minnesota Youth Rifle Deer Season is next week, and the statewide deer rifle season is in November, and hunters are once again reminded to be extra cautious and safe this hunting season. Wayne Lee of the Red River Valley Sportsman Club says the most important aspect of hunter safety is muzzle control.
Lee says that wearing the appropriate clothing and gear is also important for hunters this time of year, especially when it comes to the rifle season.
Tree stands are a commonly used tool during the deer season, but they can also be one of the most dangerous tools when not used properly. Lee gives some safety reminders when it comes to the safe use of a tree stand.
