Here’s an update to a story R&J News has been following. No charges will be filed in connection with a hunting accident in rural Perley last Saturday. The Norman County Sheriff’s Office tells R&J News 37-year-old Timothy Rousar of Fargo is now out of the hospital after he had been shot in the face by another member of his hunting party. Rousar was hit in the left side of his face by a 12 gauge slug–which remains lodged in his sinus cavity. The Sheriff’s Office has finished its investigation of the shooting and ruled the shooting was an accident and no criminal charges will be filed. The Norman County Sheriff’s Office reminds hunters to be aware of their surroundings and practice gun safety.
