(Ironton, MN) — The Ironton City Council meeting from Wednesday, January 12th covered their beginning of the year organizational masters while touching on contracts Waste Partners.

During the meeting, Crow Wing County Commissioner Doug Houge presented Land Services Director Gary Griffin to discuss property tax classifications with the City of Ironton.

Griffin noted that the City of Ironton from 2020 to 2021 went up $5.4 million in value.

Waste Partners was also present to talk about the increased costs per contract for 2022.

A proposal from Waste Partners will be presented to the Council at their next meeting. The Council also accepted contributions for the pickle ball court project. 

During the Organizational portion of the Council meeting, the Council moved to keep their meetings on the 1st and 3rd Wednesday of the month at 6pm at Ironton City Hall.
