Itasca State Park holding numerous events for Fishing Opener & Mothers Day 

Next weekend is the Minnesota Fishing Opener, and Mothers Day weekend, and Itasca State Park will be holding a number of events in conjunction with the two holidays. Itasca State Park Lead Naturalist Connie Cox tells us more. 

Cox says if you wanted to do some fishing in the park, there are some lakes where you don’t even need a fishing license to fish. 

If fishing is not your thing, don’t worry, as Cox says there are plenty of other things to do/see this time of year in the park.
