It’s Child Passenger Safety Week
Its National Child Passenger Safety Week, and Safe Kids Grand Forks is encouraging all parents, guardians, and caregivers to make sure their children are using the proper car seat, when traveling in a vehicle. Jasmine Wangen of Safe Kids Grand Forks says the best way to make sure your child is in the best car seat is to know and follow Minnesota’s car seat laws, and she tells us what the law is for children in forward and backward facing car seats.
Once your child outgrows their car seat, they will then need to move into a booster seat, and Wangen tells us what people need to know about the state’s booster seat laws.
Wangen says there are also laws that people need to know, once their child can officially move out of a booster seat.
