It’s Dispatch Appreciation Week 

April 14 through 20 is Dispatch Appreciation Week and area first responder departments are celebrating. Norman County Sheriff Ben Fall highlights all the great work his dispatchers do and the benefit they have on his department and community. 

Clearwater County Sheriff Darin Halvorson also acknowledged the work his dispatchers do, including the work they do as jailers as well. 

Dispatch Appreciation Week also known as National Public Safety Telecommunicators Week was  initially set up in 1981 by Patricia Anderson of the Contra Costa County Sheriff’s Office in California, for more information on the history of the week or profession go to www.npstw.org.
