Johanson Receives Award

Norman County Emergency Management Director Garry Johanson received an award last week–the Association of Minnesota Emergency Managers President’s Award.  Johanson says he had just finished his term on the Association of Minnesota Emergency Managers Board.

Johanson talked about his years on the Emergency Managers Board.

He also says people now have a better idea of what a county emergency manager does.

Kristen Tschida, who presented Johanson the award, says  Johanson has been instrumental in shaping the future of emergency management profession through his role as chair of the Government Affairs Committee and his commitment, vision, and advocacy has strengthened the organization’s presence at every level.
