John Rosenberger retiring at the end of the week
Coming up at the end of the month, longtime Norman County Veterans Service Officer John Rosenberger will be calling it a career and going into a well deserved retirement. While many know him as a Veterans Service Officer, many don’t know that he also had a very storied military career. During his last appearance on the Kaleidoscope Program, Rosenberger explained why he first entered the Army, and how he spent the first part of his military career.
After leaving Fort Bragg, Rosenberger says the service then brought him all over the world, and even back to the states as a recruiter.
While he was stationed in Germany, the United States was shocked with the tragic events of September 11th, and Rosenberger says he was sent to Iraq, which was his final assignment in the military.
After his military career Rosenberger eventually found his way back to Ada, where he started working for Norman County Veterans Services, a place where he worked for 17 years. His final day of work will be this Friday.
