KRJB Radio Begins 39 years on the air

ADA, MN—38 years ago today, a new sound came to the airwaves in Northwest Minnesota.

October 1, 1987 was when KRJB-FM first went on the air.  And the first local voice heard on KRJB can still be heard on the station today.

While many things have changed in the last 38 years, from the advent of the internet, streaming and smart phones, one thing that has not changed is KRJB’s commitment to local school news.

KRJB has also played the top country hits over the last 38 years.  Here’s an example from KRJB’s first hour on the air on October 1, 1987.
