Lake Park Legion Fundraising Update

LAKE PARK, MN—Here’s an update to a story the No Coast Network has been following.  Fundraising to rebuild the Lake Park American Legion has been getting closer to the Legion’s $400,000 goal.  Legion Post 181 Adjutant Karen Erickson says they recently received a very generous donation.

Erickson says the Legion’s Build Back Better fundraiser on June 25 brought in many more donations.

And how close is the Legion to reaching that $400,000 goal to rebuild the Lake Park Legion hall?

The Lake Park American Legion Hall was destroyed in a fire in March 2022.  Construction of a new building is underway and Erickson says it’s hoped the building will be ready November 1st, but she also says she hopes it will be sooner.
