Law Enforcement Spotlight: Matt Nikle (Norman County Sheriff’s Office)

Throughout the year R&J News has been speaking with area law enforcement officers as a way to get to know them better. Next up on our Law Enforcement Spotlight is Norman County Sheriff’s Deputy Matt Nikle, who tells us more about himself, and why he went into law enforcement. 

Nikle says one interesting role he has at the Norman County Sheriff’s Office is that he’s a drone operator. 

Nikle tells us about some of the hobbies and activities he can be seen doing when he’s not out on patrol.  

It’s no secret that there’s a shortage of law enforcement officers across rural Minnesota, and Nikle tells us whether or not he’d recommend pursuing a career in law enforcement, and why.
