Lefse and Lemonade Brings in Record Amount for Church Restoration Project
This past Sunday nearly 200 people gathered from across the country for the fourth annual Lefse and Lemonade celebration at the Historic Grue Church in rural buxton. Event organizer, Bobbi Hepper Olson, says the turnout was a pleasant surprise.
In addition to a record number of attendees, there was also a monetary record of over $10,000 collected through the free will meal, bake sale, and quilt and silent auctions. Hepper Olson says reaching that $10,000 mark will be a huge boost to the renovation.
Hepper Olson says work has already begun on next year’s event, which will have another special meaning.
