Legislative Committee Deadline coming up in Early April
The Minnesota Legislative Committee Deadline is set for early April, and legislators down in St Paul are trying to get their bills through committees so that they can be heard on the House and Senate floors for 2025. One of those Legislators is Rep. John Burkel (R-Badger) who has a number of bills in committee. Rep. Burkel tells us more about some of the bills he’s trying to get passed in the House Ag committee, which he’s a member of.
Burkel says he also has a bill that aims to address the “wolf problem” by starting a new wolf hunting season in Northern Minnesota.
Burkel is also an active member of the House Environmental Committee, and he tells us what he’s trying to get done there.
The Minnesota committee deadlines are on April 4, 2025 at 5:00 pm for the 1st and 2nd deadline, and April 11 at noon for the 3rd and final deadline.
