Leiting vs Fertile Update

Here’s an update to a story R&J News has been following.  Retired Judge Gerald Seibel has accepted his appointment as special master for the court case between the City of Fertile and former Fair Meadow Nursing Home administrator Angie Leiting.  Leiting has filed suit against the City of Fertile, Fertile Mayor Dan Wilkens and the city-owned Fair Meadow Nursing Home over her forced resignation in June 2023.  The special master will have authority over all matters related to discovery in the case.  The next scheduled hearing in the case is a scheduling conference on October 15.
