It’s National Fire Prevention Week, and the Twin Valley Fire Department is celebrating by warning people about the dangers of fires caused by lithium ion batteries. Twin Valley Fire Chief Pete Pazdernik explains.

Pazdernik also shares some of the best fire prevention practices when it comes to lithium ion batteries.

Pazdernik says it’s also important that people dispose of these batteries properly, once their device reaches the end of its life.

If you don’t know where to dispose of lithium battery devices contact you local city office or fired department.
