Local expert gives advice to hunters hunting public land
The 2024 Minnesota Deer Hunting season is already underway for bow hunters, and the rifle seasons are fast approaching, and begin with the Youth Season on October 17. While deer hunting may be a yearly tradition for many, a lot don’t have private land at their disposal, which leads to public lands being used by multiple hunters at the same time. This influx in hunters can cause some issues, and Wayne Lee of the Red River Valley Sportsman Club gives some advice to hunters hunting public land so that their experience can be as pleasant as possible.
Lee says if you’re a hunter planning to hunt public land, you could always contact an area farmer to see if you could hunt their land.
