(Palisade, MN) — For nearly 60 years, the Long Lake Conservation Center has extended their immersive nature field trips to schools across the region and the state, and will be adding homeschools to their list of students.
Long Lake offers a full nature field trip to homeschool students and parents as part of Homeschool Week April 18-20. The students and parent chaperons will explore like scientists, learn outdoor skills, and make new discoveries on a three-day, two-night nature adventure. This will also include all meals, lodging, and educational programming.
During the nature field trips, students will take classes that include Survival Shelters, Thicket: Ecology Exploration, Cooperation Course, Snakes (and more) Alive, Astronomy, The Art of Nature, Nature Journaling, Orienteering (compass skills), and Wilderness Meal.
