Lowthian of VNP Receives Excellence of the Year Award

Voyageurs National Park is excited to announce that Beth Lowthian, Administrative Officer for Voyagers National Park and Apostle Islands National Lakeshore has been selected to receive the 5th annual NPS Midwest Region’s Administrative Excellence of the Year Award.

Beth who is retiring today, June 28, is recognized for her exceptional organizational development skills in implementing and sustaining the shared business services model for our parks, resulting in collective savings of $100K per year. Under Beth’s leadership, her team has built an exceptional model for shared business services with a well-developed SharePoint site and extensive job aid library covering virtually all administrative workflows used at the two parks.
