Mahnomen City Council continues to discuss 2026 budget 

The Mahnomen City Council approved a $20,000 resolution to the Mahnomen EDA at their meeting on Tuesday night. Mahnomen City Administrator Taylor Guenther explains the reasoning for this resolution, and what the money is for. 

The Council also had discussions about their 2026 preliminary budget, and Guenther explains how budget talks are shaking up. 

The City of Mahnomen has had street projects taking place all summer, and Guether says the council heard updates on them as well. 

Lastly, Guether provided some updates on a grant the city applied for, and some disaster assistance that the city had approved. 

Other discussions included department updates, and further discussions regarding city prosecution services.
