Mahnomen City Council Meets
MAHNOMEN, MN—
The Mahnomen City Council believes it has found a solution to the problem of vehicles parked for long periods on city streets. Earlier, the Council suggested a 48 hour limit, but Mahnomen residents disagreed. At Monday’s meeting, the City Council approved a 72 hour limit for parking. Mahnomen City Administrator Taylor Guenther has more on the new ordinance.
Guenther says the new parking ordinance will be completely separate from any snow emergency. Also at Monday night’s meeting, the Mahnomen City Council approved a temporary contract with the Mahnomen County Sheriff’s Department.
The Mahnomen City Council also approved rezoning a property at 310 Main Street from commercial to residential.
