Mahnomen City Council News & Notes from December 5th Meeting
Mahnomen, MN — The Mahnomen City Council held their first regular monthly meeting on Monday night, December 5th where they discussed future street projects, approved water tower bids, and more. Widseth Engineering presented their Street Study to the council at the meeting. The street study will give them a better understanding of which streets are in the most dire need of repair and which ones will be next, according to Mahnomen City Administrator Taylor Vonderharr.
The Mahnomen City Council also reviewed quotes for the water tower and water treatment facility rehab project. Vonderharr says they accepted a low bid from Eagle Construction of $755,000.
Vonderharr also shared in her report that they are continuing to discuss parking concerns along Main Street at the committee level.
And the council approved a letter of support for a redevelopment project that would convert the former legion building into retail space.
The Mahnomen City Council meets next on Monday, December 19th.
