Mahnomen County Sheriff Explorer Program a major success in year one 

The Mahnomen County Sheriff’s Office recently wrapped up the first year of their explorer program, and the office is calling it a major success. Mahnomen County Sheriff Josh Guenther tells us more about this program, and how he felt year one of the program went. 

Guenther says one of the major reasons for the implementation of this program was to present law enforcement as a career opportunity for students. 

Guenther explains why he would recommend law enforcement as a career opportunity to a student who’s interested. 

As for the explorer program, Guenther says they have had discussions with the Mahnomen School about expanding the program to other career fields. 

Enrollment for the Mahnomen County Sheriff Explorer Program will begin at the beginning of next school year.
