Mahnomen man dies in two car accident on Highway 200 in Mahnomen County
Mahnomen County, MN – On Tuesday at 7:19pm, there was a fatal two vehicle accident near the corner of Highway 200 and 110th ave in Marsh Creek Township. The two vehicles which included 2013 Dodge Avenger and a 1998 Case 8920 were West Bound on Hwy 200 when the Dodge rear ended the implement being towed by the Case tractor.
The driver of the Avenger, who has been identified as 20 year old Chance Keezer of Mahnomen was un-injured, but his passenger 53 year old Robert Keezer of Mahnomen died at the scene of the accident. The driver of the tractor who has been identified as Donald Kaiser of Gary was un-injured.
The Minnesota State Patrol has determined that alcohol was involved in the incident. Keezer was placed under arrest, and has been transported to the Northwest Regional Corrections Center in Crookston, where he’s facing multiple charges including Criminal Vehicular Homicide.
Responding agencies included the White Earth Police Department, Norman and Mahnomen County Sheriff’s Office, Mahnomen Fire Department and Essentia Ambulance.
