Man Arrested After Three County Chase
A man from Fort Ransom was arrested Wednesday morning after leading law enforcement on a chase through three counties on Interstate 29. The North Dakota Highway Patrol says just before 11am Wednesday, they were told of a driver going north on I-29 in Cass County that was reportedly swerving, brake checking and not allowing other vehicles to pass. A Highway Patrol officer found the vehicle near mile marker 111 and tried to make a traffic stop. But the driver kept going. The vehicle turned off at mile marker 118, then went back on northbound I-29. At mile marker 130 near Thompson, law enforcement was able to spike the vehicle and stop the driver. 53-year-old Kevin Anderson of Fort Ransom has been charged with reckless endangerment with extreme indifference, aggravated reckless driving, fleeing a police officer, resisting arrest, unsafe lane changing and failure to use a traffic signal.
