Mayville State and Others Help Hillsboro School with Items, Courses, and Projects
The Hillsboro Public School Board met in regular session Thursday.
In his report to the board, Superintendent Jon Dryburgh mentioned the school had quite the fortunate month with donations. Dryburgh comments on some of those recent donations.
Dryburgh also reported that the school received 26 heavy duty chrome book computers from Bell Bank, putting the district at more chrome books than students.
In their reports, both Elementary Principal, Spencer Ruebke, and Junior High/High School Principal, Terry Baesler, informed the board that early student assessments were mainly positive. Both also gave feedback they received on the district’s cell phone policy. Baesler also mentioned that the school was awarded a $4900 choice ready grant towards students who take dual credit classes.
In other business items, the board approved the annual report. Dryburgh shares some of the details of that report.
Other approved action items included a mileage cost of $1.30 for outside organizations that use district owned buses and vans, the second reading of a policy related to special education, and the superintendent job description.
