(McGregor, MN) — Conversations, but not actions, were had at the last regular McGregor School Board meeting, on the future and fiscal responsibilities of the Fitness Center and the Activity at the McGregor School District.

We spoke to McGregor Elementary Principal and Superintendent Brad Johnson mentioned the Fitness Center is losing funds with dwindling membership.

Johnson sees the positives and negatives of keeping operations open, but the Mcgregor School District is still into their options.

The District is in the planning process for the Budget and evaluating areas of concern with no official decisions made, according to Johnson.

Another area that drew attention was the use of the Activity Bus, which spans the whole District and also has seen less use.

Johnson did also say the District wants to keep the Activity Bus for those students who may not have immediate transportation access.

Bus drivers are also compensated for their time driving the Activity Bus as part of the labor agreement. Hear more from McGregor Elementary Principal and Superintendent Brad Johnson by going to the Wake The Lakes Page at www.rjbroadcasting.com.
