Minnesota DNR accepting comments on proposed Lake Bronson Dam rehabilitation
The Minnesota Department of Natural Resources are now accepting comments on an Environmental Assessment Worksheet regarding the rehabilitation of the Lake Bronson Dam located at the Lake Bronson State Park in Kittson County.
According to the MN DNR the purpose of the rehabilitation project is to improve the safety of the Lake Bronson Dam, which is in poor condition. The project includes the removal and replacement of the 85-year-old concrete spillway and associated Kittson County Highway 28 Bridge.
A copy of the Assessment worksheet can be found on the project page of the DNR website, or a hard copy can be requested by calling 651-259-5122. Hard copies can also be picked up at the Hallock Public Library or the Lake Bronson State Park.
Comments must be submitted no later than 4:30 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 19. More information on the project and assessment drop of location can be found on the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources website www.dnr.state.mn.us.
