Minnesota DNR loosening up chronic wasting disease regulations
Chronic Wasting Disease (CWD) testing was prominent in the Minnesota Deer hunting season last year, but this year the Minnesota DNR is loosening up their CWD regulations. MN DNR Northwest Area Wildlife Supervisor Rob Baden tells us what’s changing and why.
Baden says there is also a change in the laws regarding the transportation of animal corpses across state lines, that will benefit Minnesota based taxidermists.
For a full list of rules and regulations for all 2024 Minnesota hunting seasons check out the 2024 hunting regulations book that’s available on the Minnesota DNR website at www.dnr.state.mn.us. Physical companies are also available at all authorized DNR licensing vendors.
