Minnesota Fishing Opener Saturday

CROSSLAKE, MN—Minnesota’s fishing season begins Saturday.  One of the state’s traditions is the Governor’s Fishing Opener.  This year, Governor Tim Walz is in Crosslake for the 77th annual Governor’s Fishing Opener.  R&J Broadcasting’s Roberta Hancock is in Crosslake and spoke to the Governor about changes to the Fishing Opener over the years.

Governor Walz also talked about the big economic impact not only fishing, but all outdoor activities have on Minnesota.
