Minnesota hunting group calling for changes in wolf regulation
The Minnesota based hunting group “Hunter for Hunters” have been catching headlines as hundreds of people from across the state have been attending their meetings that are calling for the deregulation of the wolf population that is under federal protection. “Hunters for Hunters” board member Steve Porter tells us more about the organization and why they think there’s a wolf problem in Minnesota.
Porter also claims that the State of Minnesota is incorrect when it comes to their wolf population claims and that the population is actually a lot higher than what the state says it is.
Porter wants the State of Minnesota to deal with this claimed wolf problem by getting the federal government declassified as an endangered species. He also wants the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources to address the issue.
Porter’s group “Hunters for Hunters” have many different meetings planned across the state, and says that turnout for the events have been in the hundreds. He says that Minnesota lawmakers have also started to attend the meetings as well.
