Minnesota Legislature Update 

Minnesota District 4B Representative Jim Joy made an appearance on the KRJB Kaleidoscope Program last Friday for a legislative update. One bill that has caught the attention of Minnesotans is the sports betting legalization bill and Joy thinks it could possibly be coming to the Tax Committee soon. 

Joy says one bill still in the very early stages that he’s been involved in is a Land Bill that would require a super majority for the DNR to sell land. 

Joy also talked more about a ranked choice voting bill that would give local elections the chance to adopt a ranked choice voting system. He also explained why it’s something he’s against.
