Minnesota Name a Snowplow winners announced 

Minnesota Governor Tim Walz alongside the Minnesota Department of Transportation announced the winners of the Minnesota Name a Snowplow contest on Tuesday afternoon. 

The Minnesota DOT took name submissions back in December, and agency staff cut over 8,000 submissions to 49 finalists. Minnesotans were then asked to vote for their eight favorite names.

This years winning names are: 

• Taylor Drift – District 2 (Northwest Minnesota)
• Clark W. Blizzwald – District 3 (Central Minnesota)
• Dolly Plowton – District 1 (Northeast Minnesota)
• Waipahinte (Dakota word for “snowplow”) – District 8 (Southwest Minnesota)
• Beyonsleigh – District 4 (West Central Minnesota)
• You’re Killin’ Me Squalls – District 6 (Southeast Minnesota)
• Fast and Flurrious – District 7 (South Central Minnesota)
• Barbie’s Dream Plow – Metro District (Twin Cities)
