Minnesota National Guard holds signing ceremony at Moorhead High School
The Minnesota National Guard held a Signing Day Ceremony at the Moorhead High School on Wednesday morning, and officially welcomed four students into their ranks. National Guard Recruiter Staff Sergeant Kaden Murphy says it was great to welcome four new enlistees to their ranks, while also putting the spotlight on them.
R&J News has the chance to catch up with one of the enlistees, Tashauna-Kaye Powell, who explains why she made the decision to enlist, and how the National Guard will assist her with her goals.
For fellow enlistee Gracie Parker, her reason for joining the National Guard was because of her sister.
Parker and Powell share some advice to other students who are interested in enlisting in the Armed Forces.
Joining Tashauna-Kaye Powell and Gracie Parker in their enlistment on Wednesday included fellow Moorhead students Sonny San and Bryan Nandjou.
